Thurs 26th February:
XXXX ANDREW IS HOME XXXXX

Went into the hospital this morning to meet the consultant on his round and was told that Andrew could come home today so we packed up and had left by 1pm.

Andrew is sitting next to me now.

We will have a quiet few days so that he can adjust to being back at home, as it's all a bit overwhelming at the moment (he is correcting my spelling as I go through this - just had to put the apostrophe in it's ).

I think we will wind up the calendar now. If you would like to see us at home sometime that would be very nice. Please ring 01525 371248.

I will also not be updating the blog so often - maybe only once or twice a week.

We have lots and lots of people to thank starting with the paramedic and ambulance crew who turned out in the snow; the wonderful staff at the L&D - we have learnt that we were lucky that Andrew landed up in the L&D because they have a dedicated stroke unit and are rated highly on this; it is certainly very clean and the staff have been very professional, supportive and kind.

To all the family and friends and neighbours who have helped and me and all the people who have sent cards ( we have about 50!), and all the emails and texts and messages from friends near and far: thank you all so very very much from us both.

love
Gill & Andrew
