Gigs

Andrew played a fantastic gig at Spratton on Sunday, The Volume Brothers were on top form, and the audience got up and danced and generally had a very good time.

I thought that you might like to know about other gigs that I am hoping Andrew will be doing:

Next Saturday 18th July he is playing African/World style material with friends John Howarth and Paul King ( known as Safari Boots) at a charity gig in Aspley Guise see http://www.4thought.com/Bananafest.jpg
They are on about 5-6pm

Safari Boots are also playing at the World Picnic in Campbell Park in Milton Keynes on Sunday August 2nd ( time tbc).

After this he may play at the White Horse Ceilidh in Wantage on 15th August ( Stomp are booked for this, and I would like him to play at least part of the gig)

On Saturday 5th September he plans to play for Soulbury Millenium Green Barn Dance with friends Pippa, Delia and Jonathan

And finally, the Stomp benefit gig for the Luton and Dunstable Hospital stroke ward on 3rd October will be in the Hospital's sports and social club at 7.30pm. Ticket prices are £10, with £8 for early booking and £5 for children under 16. Places are limited to 100, so to book early send a cheque for your tickets to me, Gill King, 10 Rothschild Road Leighton Buzzard, Beds, LU7 2SY. Cheques should be made out to L&D Hospital Charitable Fund. The ward are hoping to buy a driving test kit which assesses patients' ability to get back behind the wheel after a stroke. Maybe Andrew will even get to be assessed by it one day.

Finally Andrew taking part in any of the above may be changed if they clash with his heart op, I will know more about this after we see the consultant at Harefield next week.

Gill
